New to me

While away in Sydney, did I mention Rose and I went to Sydney???? hehehe Anyway, Sue, who we stayed with, taught me a crochet technique I have never seen before. It is called 'broomstick lacework'. It involves a very large knitting needle and a crochet hook. I used a 12mm needle and a 4.5 hook and made myself a beautiful scarf. I love this technique and hopefully will do a baby rug soon.
Sue was using a 15mm plastic needle but I found it too slippery to work with so I bought a wooden needle. I could only get a 12mm at the time but I am very pleased with the end result.

Now I have a little story to tell.........................................
Whilst in Sydney, I went off to take a photo and asked Rose to look after my Banana Bread
I turned around from where I was and zoomed in to take a photo of Rose and look what I spied.................................................
Rose texting............Banana bread alone................

A Pigeon lurking...........................

Rose still texting...................banana bread still alone.................A pigeon swooping
'Was that a pigeon?'...........................

"Nah just my imagination.................mmmm Banana bread'...................

Well I never!!!!!!! I should not have worried about the pigeons.....................
Hehehehehe..................Just joking, Rose had her own banana bread but it was so funny. Sorry Rose. Just too funny not to share....................love ya
